Caution: The high intensity discharge system produces high voltage and current. In order to reduce the risk of severe shocks and burns, the battery negative cable must be disconnected any time service work is being performed on or around the high intensity discharge system.

Caution: Refer to Halogen Bulb Caution in the Preface section.

Important: Warning, high voltage. Do not touch components in the xenon dipped beam when the dipped beam is switched on. Ignition and light switch OFF.

1. Remove the headlamp fuse.
2. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .



3. Remove the xenon lamp cover.

Remove the 3 bolts (1).

4. Remove the xenon lamp igniter.

To unlock, turn in the direction of the arrow.

•	Disconnect the wiring harness plug.

•	Remove the igniter.




5. Remove the xenon lamp.

Compress the fixing bracket (1) to release.

Important: Ensure correct installation position.

1. Install the rear lamp.

•	Insert the xenon lamp.

•	Lock the fixing bracket.

Important: The arrow on the sticker (igniter) must be at the bottom on installation.

2. Install the xenon lamp igniter.

To lock, turn opposite the direction of the arrow.

•	Insert the igniter.

•	Connect the wiring harness plug.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

3. Install the xenon lamp cover.

Tighten
Tighten the 3 bolts to 2.5 N·m (22 lb in).

4. Install air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
5. Insert the headlamp fuse.
