Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement or Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement.
  2. Remove the front half of the water deflector in order to expose the door access hole.
  3. Remove the bolt retaining the front lower window run channel. Refer to Front Side Door Window Channel Replacement.

    4. Object Number: 723023 Size: SH
  4. Remove the 2 bolts that retain the check link to the pillar.

    5. Object Number: 723020 Size: SH
  5. Remove the rubber dust boot from the check link in order to gain access to the door retaining nuts.

    6. Object Number: 723022 Size: SH
  6. Remove the 2 check link retaining nuts from the door.
  7. Remove the check link assembly through the door access hole.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 723022 Size: SH
  1. Install the check link assembly through the door access hole. Ensure that the position arrow is pointing forward.

    2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  2. Install the 2 check link retaining nuts to the door and tighten to 7 N·m (62 lb in).

    3. Object Number: 723020 Size: SH
  3. Install the rubber dust boot to the check link.

    4. Object Number: 723023 Size: SH
  4. Install the 2 bolts that retain the check link to the pillar and tighten to 15 N·m (11 lb ft).
  5. Install the front lower window run channel. Refer to Front Side Door Window Channel Replacement.
  6. Install and fully seat the water deflector.
  7. Install the door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement or Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement.
