Condition
Some customers may comment on a check engine light on and/or reduced engine power. Upon further investigation, the technician may find DTC P2135 set.
Cause
GM Engineering has determined that the throttle body may intermittently cause the setting of DTC P2135, but tests fine during diagnosis. If an intermittent DTC P2135 is encountered and the SI diagnostic procedures do not reveal a wiring or circuit issue,
then the throttle body should be replaced and the vehicle test driven to validate the repair.
DO NOT
replace the PCM for this intermittent concern.
