The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
On rare occasions a coolant leak may be found at the Thermostat Bypass Pipe to Cylinder Head Joint, near the #4 intake port as shown below.
Recommendation/Instructions:
The cause of this concern is under investigation. If this concern is experienced, replace the cylinder head assembly by following SI procedures. Once the root cause is known, this PI will be updated with additional information.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
