The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
On rare occasions, a SES light and P2297 DTC may be experienced when decelerating down a mountain for 3 minutes or more.
Recommendation/Instructions:
If the SI diagnostics do not isolate a cause for this concern, reprogram the ECM with the latest TIS2Web calibrations. At this time, the latest calibration is titled "ETC ice breaking improvement & Addition of NVM initialization". This calibration, or any that follow, is designed to address this concern.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
