The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in the PI.
Condition/Concern:
Some customers may complain that the sunroof stops half way when closing. They have to release and press the switch a second time to complete the closing operation.
Recommendation/Instructions:
From the full open position, the sunroof is designed to stop in the middle of the closing cycle. The customer will have to release the sunroof close switch and press the switch down again to completely close the sunroof. The sunroof operates this way to reduce the possibility of objects being caught in the sunroof opening when closing the sunroof.
Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
