Subject: | Sunroof Water Management |
Models: | 2003-2004 Pontiac Vibe |
The purpose of this bulletin is to inform the technician of the sun roof water
management system. When the vehicle is exposed to rain or while riding through a car
wash, water may enter past the seal and into the sunroof gutter system. This is a
normal condition. The seal is not designed to be water tight. Its purpose is to reduce
wind noise and manage the small amount of water that passes through it. The purpose
of the gutter is to manage the small amount of water that may drip past the seal.
The customer may notice water dripping from the sunroof seal into the gutter. The
technician should not try to eliminate the drippage if it does not enter
onto the headliner, seat or carpet.
