Tools Required
J 38778 Door Trim Pad and
Garnish Clip Remover
Removal Procedure
- Remove the front fascia extensions, if equipped. Refer to
Front Bumper Fascia Extension Replacement
in Bumpers.
- Remove the front fender liners. Refer to
Wheelhouse Panel Replacement
in Body Front End.
- Remove the fog lamps. Refer to
Front Fog Lamp Replacement
in Lighting Systems.
- Remove the bolts (4) from the front bumper fascia (3) at
the fender.
- Remove the push-in retainers (2) from the bumper fascia using J 38778
.
- Remove the fascia bolts (1) from the fascia.
- Remove the fascia from the vehicle.
- Remove the grilles from the fascia. Refer to
Fascia Grille Replacement
.
- Remove
the 10 screws from the upper and lower fascias.
Installation Procedure
- Assemble
the upper and lower fascias with the 10 screws.
- Install the grilles. Refer to
Fascia Grille Replacement
.
- Position the fascia to the vehicle.
- Install the bolts (1) to the fascia (3).
- Install the push-in the retainers (2) to the front bumper fascia
.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the bolts (4) to the front fascia (3) at the
front fenders.
Tighten
Tighten the front fascia bolts to 2 N·m (18 lb in).
- Install the fog lamps. Refer to

- Install the front fender liners. Refer to
Wheelhouse Panel Replacement
in Body Front End.
- Install the front fascia extensions, if removed. Refer to
Front Bumper Fascia Extension Replacement
in Bumpers.
