The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
A customer may inquire about the functions or operations of the auto door locks on their Vehicle. Only certain model years have the auto door lock feature.
Recommendation/Instructions:
The 2003 and 2004 Vibes do NOT have this feature and it is NOT printed in the owners or service manual.
The 2005 Vibe has Auto door locks with automatic transmission only as is described in the owner manual only.
The 2006 Vibe with automatic transmission still has it - but it is in SI-2000 NOT in the owner's manual
The 2007 Vibe has auto door locks with auto transmission only - it is in SI-2000 and the owner's manual.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
