The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
The ABS and/or Traction off indicators come on with DTC C0045 and/or C0050 set in the EBTCM.
Recommendation/Instructions:
A number of rear wheel speed sensor have been returned to the warranty parts center with no problem found. Engineering would like to talk to some dealers that have a vehicle that exhibits a concern with the rear wheel speed sensor(s). If you have a vehicle that exhibits one of these concerns and are willing to work with Engineering, please contact Ray Mueller at 248-685-4254. When calling Ray, if the call rolls over to voice mail. Advise Ray this call is regarding a concern with a rear wheel speed sensor on a 2007 Equinox or Torrent.
Once the message is left, a return call will be received within 2 business hours. If a return call is not received within this time, continue with the normal repair procedures to repair the vehicle as necessary. Ray's normal business hours are from 8:00 to 3:00 Eastern time.
