The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
The vehicle may exhibit intermittent transaxle performance concerns such as harsh or delayed shift (any shift up or down) slip, flare, chuggle or any one or more of these DTCs p0703 p0705 p0711 p0712 p0713 p0717 p0722 p0727 p0730 p0731 p0731 p0733 p0734 p0735 p0736 p0741 p0742 p0762 p0897 p0962 p0963 p0966 p0967 p0970 p0971 p0973 p0974 p0976 p0977 p0979 p0980 p0982 p0985 p0986 p1719 p1779 p1780 p2536 p2544 p2637 u0100 u1000.
Dilectric compound used inside the TCM connector (male) to wiring harness connector (female) maybe decomposing and allowing electrical signals to jump between circuits (pins).
Disconnect TCM from wiring harnesses and inspect for presence of dilectric compound. Clean both halves of the connector (TCM and harness) with a product designed to clean electrical contacts such as Permatex 24378 or equivalent.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
