SOME OWNERS MAY COMMENT ABOUT A SQUEAK NOISE DURING HEAVY LOAD (I.E., WIDE-OPEN-THROTTLE, GOING OVER BUMPS) WHILE DRIVING. THE SQUEAK MAY ALSO OCCUR WHEN SHIFTING INTO DRIVE OR REVERSE (WHEN THE ENGINE MOVES ON ITS MOUNTS) WHILE THE VEHICLE IS STOPPED.
THE SQUEAK NOISE IS CAUSED BY THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD PIPE SEAL WHEN THE EXHAUST SYSTEM MOVES.
REPLACE THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD PIPE SEAL WITH P/N 24570693. THE NEW PART HAS BEEN CHANGED TO CORRECT THIS CONDITION.

1. RAISE VEHICLE AND SUPPORT (REFER TO SECTION 0A IN THE APPROPRIATE SERVICE MANUAL). 2. REMOVE BOLT AND SPRING ASSEMBLIES. 3. REMOVE OLD SEAL AND CLEAN SEAL SURFACES. 4. INSTALL NEW SEAL, P/N 24570693. 5. INSTALL BOLT AND SPRING ASSEMBLIES. TIGHTEN TO 35 N.M (26 LBS. FT.) 6. LOWER VEHICLE.
