| Rear End Spoiler
Notice: Use a plastic, flat-bladed tool to prevent paint damage when removing
an emblem/name plate.
Procedure
- Avoid denting the rear compartment lid surface with the corners of the spoiler. Do not rock or perform uneven lifting of the spoiler during removal.
- The part and surface should be 21°C (70°F) prior to installation. The vehicle should remain 21°C (70°F) for one hour after assembly to allow adhesive to develop sufficient bond strength.
- Use the
J 25070 or equivalent to remove the old spoiler. Apply heat to the rear compartment lid spoiler mounting surface from the inside. As the spoiler mounting surface heats up, gently separate the spoiler
from the rear compartment lid. Clean all the adhesive residue from the rear compartment lid and wipe the surface dry with a clean lint-free towel prior to installing the new spoiler.
- When removing protective liners from adhesive backed parts, be careful not to touch the tape with hands and do not allow the tape to come in contact with dirt or any foreign matter prior to adhesion.
- Press the spoiler firmly to the rear compartment lid to ensure full adhesion is made to the rear compartment lid.
