Models: | 2007 Pontiac Solstice GXP |
| with Ecotec 2.0L I4 Turbo Engine (VIN X -- RPO LNF) |
Condition
Some customers may comment on an engine misfire with the SES/MIL illuminated. Upon further investigation, the technician may find the following DTCs stored in the ECM:
• | Engine Misfire Detected -- P0300, P0301, P0302, P0303, P0304 |
• | Fuel Rail Pressure (FRP) Sensor Circuit High Voltage -- P0193 |
• | Injector Control Circuits -- P0201, P0202, P0203, P0204 |
Cause
This condition may be caused by loose terminal tension at fuel injector engine harness connector C162.
Correction
Inspect the C162 fuel injector multi-way harness connector for proper connection, proper terminal contact, and proper terminal retention force. If a condition is found, repair the loose connection at the C162 connector. Refer to DTCs P0201, P0202, P0203
and/or P0204 in SI for further circuit/system testing.
- Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector C162 from the fuel injector wiring harness electrical connector. The location of connector C162 (1) is next to and under the intake manifold front of engine.
- Remove the TPA/cover (1) from harness connector C162.
- Inspect for loose terminal tension at connector C162 (1). Check all terminals and replace as necessary. For terminal replacement, refer to Power and Signal Distribution -- Wiring Systems and Power Management -- Diagnostic
Information and Procedures -- Sumitomo Connectors
in SI.
