Preliminary Procedure

The folding top side rail link is located beneath the rear compartment front trim panel. It is necessary to remove the side rail link prior to removing the folding top from the vehicle and necessary to remove the side rail link from the replacement folding top prior to installing a new top. The side rail link MUST be marked as to its position on the right and left side mounting brackets.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

Tip

•	Lift the right side rear compartment front trim panel door and mark the location of the folding top side rail link to the mounting brackets.

•	Remove the folding top side rail link by lifting the rear compartment front panel doors and pulling the side rail link through the front panel door opening.

Tighten
9 N·m (80 lb in)
