Preliminary Procedures

  1. Remove the door sill trim. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement .
  2. Remove the lock pillar trim panel. Refer to Body Lock Pillar Trim Panel Replacement .
  3. Remove the rear window panel trim. Refer to Rear Window Panel Trim Replacement .
  4. Remove front floor console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement .
  5. Remove instrument panel cluster trim panel bezel. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Bezel Replacement .
  6. Remove instrument panel assist handle. Refer to Instrument Panel Assist Handle Replacement .
  7. Remove instrument panel cluster trim panel. Refer to Instrument Cluster Trim Panel Replacement .
  8. Remove instrument panel extension trim plate. Refer to Instrument Panel Extension Trim Plate Replacement .

Floor Panel Tunnel Carpet

Procedure

  1. Replacement carpets will have perforations to allow tear off of the area to be removed.
  2. Using the replacement carpet as a guide, cut the old carpet in front of the cross car beam and as high up the sides as possible in order to replace it without removing the HVAC module.
  3. The passenger side of the carpet is to be tucked under the HVAC unit.

Floor Panel Tunnel Carpet "Service Only" Fastener

Procedure

Install the supplied fastener approximately 290 mm vertically from the sheet metal floor (carpet pulled back) just in front of tunnel carpet tab.

Procedures

  1. Replacement carpets will have perforations to allow tear off of the area to be removed.
  2. Using the replacement carpet as a guide, cut the old carpet in front of the cross car beam and as high up the sides as possible in order to replace it without removing the HVAC module.
  3. The passenger side of the carpet is to be tucked under HVAC unit.

Floor Panel Tunnel Carpet "Service Only" Fastener

Procedure

Install the modified carpet with the supplied rivets approximately 115 mm (4.5 in) from the driver side cowl and 300 mm (11.8 in) up from the driver side floor pan sheet metal.
