Subject: | A Pillar Tweeter Speakers May Become Inoperative |
Models: | 2006 Pontiac Solstice |
The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
A customer might comment that the tweeters in the a-pillars are inoperative, or making a popping noise.
First thing to check for is to make sure that the tweeter wiring is not pinched or rubbed through at the base of the A-pillar. The wiring could become trapped or pinched at the base of the A pillar on either side of vehicle. If the wiring looks okay then proceed with normal diagnostics.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
