Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

Tip
Prior to the listed VIN breakpoint, some vehicles may have been built with the second design weatherstrip.

Tighten
2 N·m (18 lb in)

Folding Top Side Rear Weatherstrip

Tip

1. Loosen both corners of the weatherstrip before pulling the weatherstrip away from the retainer.
2. Ensure both corners fit tight into the retainer ends when installing.

Procedure

1. Remove the rear weatherstrip retainer. Refer to Folding Top Side Rear Weatherstrip Retainer Replacement .
2. Reposition the rear weatherstrip to gain access to the rear locating pin/locating nut.

Tighten
3 N·m (26 lb in)

Tip
Ensure the folding top rear locating pin is in proper engagement position to the top and the body.
