Application: 1988-93 Pontiac LeMans Sedan and Hatchback Models
This service bulletin amends the rear defogger ground location for G402 on page 8A-200-2 in the 1988-92 Pontiac LeMans Service Manuals (ST-8810-T, ST-8910-T, ST-9010-T, ST-9110-T and ST-9210-T respectively) and page 8A-200-3 in the 1993 Pontiac LeMans Service Manual (ST-9310-T). This service bulletin should be used when checking the integrity of the ground. G402 is located in the following places for all model years:
Hatchback Models: RH side of hatchback door behind trim panel. Sedan Models: RH side of luggage compartment behind carpet on inner quarter panel.
Service Manager -------------------------- Subject: WARRANTY SUBLET REPAIRS -------------------------------- This bulletin is to reinforce current warranty sublet policies. A sublet repair is any repair or service performed by a third party engaged by a Pontiac dealer to perform repairs or service. The following policies apply for repairs sublet by dealers to repair shops.
- Dealer will be reimbursed for sublet repairs at dealer's actual cost less any discount or allowances that apply to the sublet invoice.
- Sublet repairs are not to exceed the dealer's warranty parts and/or labor allowance.
- Dealer supplied GM parts used in the performance of sublet warranty repairs are subject to the 30% parts handling allowance.
- Sublet repairs are not to be shown on a warranty claim as a dealer repair.
AC Delco components that are sublet for a warranty repair/exchange to an AC Delco Service Center or other qualified service outlet are not eligible for the 30% parts handling allowance. These components (if sublet) are eligible for an administrative allowance. They are:
- Speedometers and Tachometers
- Radios, CDs and Tape Players
- Radiators
- Delco Electronic Cellular Phone
- Electronic Instrument Clusters
- ABS Controllers
- DERM For SIR System
