Removal Procedure
- Open the rear compartment.
- Remove the rear compartment convenience net from the plastic wingnuts, if equipped.
- Remove the rear compartment sill plate. Refer to Rear Compartment Sill Trim Plate Replacement.
- Pull back the corner of the rear compartment trim to access the plastic wingnuts.
- Apply light pressure to the tail lamp lens to retain the lamp in position during removal of the wingnuts.
- Remove the wingnuts (1) from the tail lamp.
- Remove the tail lamp assembly (3) from the rear body panel.
- Disconnect the electrical connector (2) from the tail lamp.
- Remove the necessary bulb/socket by turning counterclockwise.
- Pull the necessary bulbs from the sockets, if replacing the bulbs.
Installation Procedure
- Press the necessary bulbs into the sockets, if replacing the bulbs.
- Install the bulb/socket to the tail lamp housing assembly. Rotate each socket clockwise to secure.
- Position the tail lamp assembly (3) to the rear body panel.
- Connect the electrical connector (2) to the tail lamp.
- Apply light pressure to the lens of the tail lamp assembly to hold it in position during installation of the wingnuts.
- Install the tail lamp assembly wingnuts (1) and hand tighten.
- Position the corner of the rear compartment trim to its original position.
- Install the rear compartment sill plate. Refer to Rear Compartment Sill Trim Plate Replacement.
- Install the rear compartment convenience net to the wingnuts, if equipped.
- Close the rear compartment.
