The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
When using remote vehicle start the HVAC control head LEDs will flash and the HVAC system will be inoperative until the key is placed in the ignition and the ignition is turned to run.
Recommendation/Instructions:
Engineering has determined this is due to a software concern in the HVAC control head. Updated software has been developed and validated and will be released in the near future. Do not replace any parts at this time since that will not repair the vehicle. This PI will be updated when the software is released to repair this concern.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
