Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 864893  Size: SH
  3. Press the bolster aside and remove the pivot bolt from the fold down section.
  4. Fold the seat back section about half way down.
  5. Rotate the pivot bolt side out and remove the seat back section from the seat back frame.
  6. Remove the seat back section from the vehicle.

  7. Object Number: 1219249  Size: SH
  8. Remove the bolts securing the cargo net retainers to the seat back.
  9. Remove the retainers from the seat back.

  10. Object Number: 1219246  Size: SH
  11. Disconnect the J-hook on the bottom of the seat back.
  12. Remove the staples from the seat back, lower trim flaps.

  13. Object Number: 519886  Size: SH
  14. Reach inside of the rear seat back cover to unfasten the hook and the loop retainers which secure the rear seat back cover to the pad.
  15. Pull the rear seat back cover up and off the seat back.

Installation Procedure

  1. Position the rear seat back cover on the pad.

  2. Object Number: 520586  Size: SH
  3. Pull the rear seat back cover down over the pad. Align the hook and the loop retainers.
  4. Use firm hand pressure to fasten the hook and loop retainers, securing the cover to the pad.
  5. Install the staples to the seat back, lower trim flaps.

  6. Object Number: 520580  Size: SH
  7. Pull the rear seat back cover over the pad and pull over and under the bottom.
  8. Connect the J-hook on the bottom of the seat back.

  9. Object Number: 1219249  Size: SH
  10. Position the cargo net retainers on the seat back.
  11. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  12. Install the cargo net retainer bolts.
  13. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 3 N·m (27 lb in).

  14. Engage the inboard side of the seat section on the pivot arm which is located on the lower frame (2).

  15. Object Number: 864893  Size: SH
  16. Rotate the seat back section to the installed position.
  17. Install the pivot bolt.
  18. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 24 N·m (18 lb ft).

  19. Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement .
