Front Fog Lamp Replacement GT

Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1228602 Size: SH
  1. Remove the front fog lamp screws (1) from the fog lamp.

    2. Object Number: 1228603 Size: SH
  2. Remove the fog lamp from the front bumper fascia.
  3. Remove the fog lamp bulb/socket from the fog lamp, turning counterclockwise, if required.

    4. Object Number: 812125 Size: SH
  4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the fog lamp bulb/socket.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 812125 Size: SH
  1. Connect the electrical connector to the fog lamp bulb/socket.

    2. Object Number: 1228603 Size: SH
  2. Install the fog lamp bulb/socket to the fog lamp, turning clockwise, if required.
  3. Position the fog lamp to the front bumper fascia.

    4. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1228602 Size: SH
  4. Install the front fog lamp screws to the fog lamp.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  5. Check and adjust the front fog lamp aim as necessary. Refer to Fog Lamp Aiming .

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the front fascia extension.
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the fog lamp bulb socket.

Front Fog Lamp Adjuster Screw

Tip

  1. Remove the adjuster screw from the fog lamp bracket and lamp assembly.
  2. Count the number of turns when removing the adjuster screw for a reference upon installation.

Front Fog Lamp Bracket Screws (Qty: 2)

Tighten
2 N·m (18 lb in)

Fog Lamp Assembly

Tip
Remove the fog lamp from the fog lamp bracket.

Front Fog Lamp Bulb

Caution: Refer to Halogen Bulb Caution in the Preface section.

Tip
Turn the bulb socket a quarter turn in order to remove from the lamp housing.
