Removal Procedure

    Important: Perform the radio set up procedure for new radios. Refer to Radio Setup .

  1. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) accessory trim plate. Refer to Instrument Panel Accessory Trim Plate Replacement .
  2. Remove the I/P center compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Center Compartment Replacement .
  3. Remove the HVAC control assembly. Refer to Heater and Air Conditioning Control Replacement .
  4. Remove the radio screws.
  5. Pull the radio toward you.

  7. Disconnect the I/P wiring harness connectors and the antenna cable connector from the radio.
  8. Remove the radio.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 929292  Size: SH
  1. Position the radio to the I/P.
  2. Connect the I/P wiring harness connectors and the antenna cable connector to the radio.
  3. Important: If the radio locator is difficult to align to the I/P locator opening, pull the radio toward you and reposition the antenna cable.

  4. Install the radio to the I/P.
  5. Align the radio locator to the hole in the I/P while pressing the radio into position.

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  6. Install the radio screws.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  8. Install the HVAC control assembly. Refer to Heater and Air Conditioning Control Replacement .
  9. Install the I/P center compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Center Compartment Replacement .
  10. Install the I/P accessory trim plate. Refer to Instrument Panel Accessory Trim Plate Replacement .
  11. Perform the radio set up procedure for new radios. Refer to Radio Setup .
