Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1553089 Size: SH
  1. Remove the exhaust hanger. Refer to Exhaust System Insulator, Hanger, Bracket Replacement .
  2. Remove the exhaust hanger bracket bolt (3) (single exhaust).
  3. Remove the exhaust hanger bracket (2) (single exhaust).

    4. Object Number: 1553095 Size: SH
  4. Remove the exhaust pipe rear hanger bracket bolts (dual exhaust).
  5. Remove the exhaust pipe rear hanger bracket(s) (dual exhaust).

    6. Object Number: 1553093 Size: SH
  6. Loosen the left and/or right outboard rear bumper impact bar bolt (dual exhaust).
  7. Remove the left and/or right inboard rear bumper impact bar bolt (dual exhaust).
  8. Remove the exhaust muffler rear hanger bracket(s) (dual exhaust).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1553093 Size: SH
  1. Install the exhaust muffler rear hanger bracket(s) (dual exhaust).

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the left and/or right inboard rear bumper impact bar bolt (dual exhaust).

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  3. Tighten the left and/or right outboard rear bumper impact bar bolt (dual exhaust).

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  4. Install the exhaust pipe rear hanger bracket(s) (dual exhaust).
  5. Install the exhaust pipe rear hanger bracket bolts (dual exhaust).

    6. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  6. Install the exhaust hanger bracket (2) (single exhaust).
  7. Install the exhaust hanger bracket bolt (3) (single exhaust).

    8. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  8. Install the exhaust hanger. Refer to Exhaust System Insulator, Hanger, Bracket Replacement .
