--------- Some 1989-93 Grand Prix Coupes with RPO B4U (Sports Performance Package) may have door aero extension moulding's loose at the front and/or damaged due to:
1. Front attachment missing.
2. Moulding mislocated or too long.
---------- CONDITION 1: (Missing Attachment) --------------------------------- Vehicle moulding's with loose or poor fit at the front, should be inspected for loose or missing front attachment screws. The door moulding forward tab attachment kit, P/N 12512887, may be used to improve fit and/or appearance of the moulding on these vehicles.
1. Make sure the door glass is in the up position.
2. Open door and remove screws along bottom of moulding.
3. Slide moulding rearward to disengage end tab at rear edge of moulding.
4. Continue to slide moulding rearward to completely remove it from the vehicle.
5. Carefully follow instructions in attachment kit P/N 12512887.
For vehicles repaired under warranty use:
Labour Operation: Add Door Moulding Front Attachment
Labour Time: 0.6 Hr. Each Side
CONDITION 2: (Moulding mislocated or too long) ---------------------------------------------- Replace the moulding if it is damaged. Also, replace the moulding if it is not at least 3 mm (1/8") shorter in length than the door. Measure length of moulding along the top and compare it with a measurement of the door at the same height.
Before installing a replacement door moulding kit, P/N's 12513210 RH or 12513211 LH, it will be necessary to carefully review the kit instructions.
Follow above instructions in CONDITION 1 for removal of the moulding.
When replacing the door moulding it may be necessary to replace and/or relocate the door moulding upper bracket on the door.

Labour Operation: Replace Door Moulding
Labour Time: 0.6 Hr. Each Side Add 1.0 Hr. to replace retaining brackets, each side Add 0.7 Hr. for painting each moulding. Material Labour Time: allowance AF.
Replace Door Moulding and Relocate Upper Bracket
Labour Time: 1.3 Hrs. Each Side Add 0.6 Hr. to replace retaining brackets, each side Add 0.7 Hr. for painting each moulding. Material allowance AF.
