The neutral start switch replacement procedure has been revised. Use the following procedure when removing or installing the neutral start switch for the following Service manuals and pages.

1. Air cleaner assembly.
2. Negative battery cable.
3. Cruise control servo retaining nuts, and position servo aside.
4. Set parking brake and place transaxle in "Neutral".
5. Harness bracket retaining bolt from top of transaxle.
6. Shift lever retaining nut from transaxle, position shift lever aside.
7. Neutral switch retaining bolts at transaxle.
8. Electrical connection from neutral switch, remove neutral switch.
1. Electrical connection to neutral switch.
2. Neutral switch to transaxle.
- Align locator notches on neutral switch.
3. Neutral switch retaining bolts.
- Bolts to 24 N.m (18 lb. ft.)
4. Shift lever to transaxle and nut.
- Nut to 20 N.m (15 lb. ft.)
5. Cruise control servo to mounting studs.
- Nuts to 2 N.m (18 lb. in.)
6. Negative battery cable.
7. Air cleaner assembly
- Neutral switch operation.
