SMU-SEC. 7A REVISED PARK/ NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH

Subject: SERVICE MANUAL UPDATE - SECTION 7A - REVISED PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH REMOVAL AND INSTALL PROCEDURE

Models Affected: 1992-93 GRAND AM MODELS

ENGINE APPLICATION: 3300 (3.3L) engine (VIN N - RPO LG7) (3T40 Transmission)

This bulletin replaces the "Park/Neutral Position Switch" procedure in Section 7A of the 1992 and 1993 service manuals.

The following procedure should be used:

Remove Or Disconnect

1. Raise vehicle and suitably support, refer to Section OA.

2. Lower heater pipe bracket bolt.

3. Position vacuum hose aside.

4. Lower vehicle.

5. Pry off shift linkage.

6. Electrical connectors.

7. Park neutral position switch.

Install Or Connect

1. Park/neutral position switch.

2. Electrical connector.

3. Shift linkage.

4. Raise vehicle.

5. Vacuum hose.

6. Lower heater pipe bracket bolt.

7. Lower vehicle.
