BROKEN ARMREST HINGES-NEW P/N (REVISED HOUSING & HINGE KIT)

SUBJECT: BROKEN ARMREST HINGES (NEW REVISED PART)

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1991 PONTIAC "N" CAR -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Condition:

---------- Some 1991 Pontiac Grand Ams requiring console arm rest or housing replacement because of broken hinges should be replaced with revised housing, P/N 22581499.

Part is currently available from CANSPO.

Correction:

----------- This kit includes a riser, (lower half of hinges) and a liner (lid and upper half of hinges). This part requires that the armrest pad be transferred to the new liner.

1. Remove console compartment by prying upward.

2. Remove power window switch or filler panel.

3. Remove housing.

4. Transfer armrest pad to housing.

5. Install housing to console.

6. Install power window switch or filler panel.

7. Install console compartment.
