QUARTER TRIM PANEL VINYL DELAMINATION-NEW P/N RELEASED

SUBJECT: QUARTER TRIM PANEL VINYL DELAMINATION (INSTALL REVISED QUARTER TRIM PANELS)

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1991 "N" CAR COUPES -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Condition:

---------- Some owners of 1991 "N" coupes may comment about the delamination of vinyl material from the left and/or right quarter trim panels. The vinyl will first become loose and bridged in the corners of the quarter window and the armrest area and may show a bubble on other surfaces.

Cause

The above conditions are caused by heat and humidity exposure which causes reduced vinyl adhesion.

Correction:

----------- Revised quarter trim panels will be available through CANSPO. In all cases both the right and left quarter trim panels must be replaced.

The revised quarter trim panel part numbers are as follows:

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
