THE 1989 N CARLINE SERVICE MANUAL ENGINE WIRING SECTION (6D5) REFERS TO AN EGR VALVE ON THE 2.3L (VIN D AND A) ENGINES. HOWEVER, NO EGR VALVE WAS USED ON THE 1989 2.3L (VIN D AND A) ENGINES. PLEASE MAKE THE FOLLOWING CORRECTIONS TO YOUR 1989 SERVICE MANUAL:

1. DELETE #4 CONNECTOR, EGR VALVE AND #5 EGR VALVE FROM THE ENGINE WIRING VIEW ON THE FOLLOWING PAGES:

PONTIAC (VIN D AND A) - PAGE 6D5-6 BUICK (VIN D ONLY) - PAGE 6D5-8 OLDSMOBILE (VIN D AND A) PAGE 6D5-8

2. DELETE #4 AND #5 FROM THE LEGEND ON THE FOLLOWING PAGES:

IMPORTANT: OTHER SECTIONS SUCH AS 6E AND 8A ARE NOT AFFECTED.
