ENGINE SURGE CONDITION NEW EGR VALVE & PROM

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1989 N CAR

THIS BULLETIN HAS BEEN REVISED TO CHANGE THE SCANNER I.D. NUMBER FOR THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION.

Some owners of the 1989 N cars may comment of a highway engine surge condition. This condition may be repaired with the installation of a new EGR Valve Package, P/N #17112238 (which contains EGR valve, P/N #17090078 and a gasket). A new calibration PROM must be installed with the EGR valve package as a set. The new Calibration PROM is identified as follows:
