Removal Procedure
  1. Disable the supplemental inflatable restraints (SIR) system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling in SIR.
  2. Remove the left instrument panel (I/P) lower insulator panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.

  3. Disconnect the clutch pedal position switch harness electrical connector (1) from the clutch pedal position switch (2).
  4. Rotate the clutch pedal position switch (2) counterclockwise a quarter turn, then remove the switch from the pedal bracket assembly.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1340688 Size: SH
  1. Install the switch in the pedal bracket assembly, then Rotate the clutch pedal start switch (2) clockwise a quarter turn to the locked position.
  2. Connect the clutch pedal position switch electrical connector to the switch (2).
  3. Install the instrument panel driver knee bolster. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
  4. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling in SIR.
