Removal Procedure

    Caution: If a window is cracked but still intact, crisscross the window with masking tape in order to reduce the risk of damage or personal injury.

  1. Remove the door opening weather-strip. Refer to Door Opening Weatherstrip Replacement in Doors.
  2. Remove side sill trim plate. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement in Interior Trim.
  3. Remove the lower quarter panel trim. Refer to Rear Quarter Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  4. Remove the center pillar upper trim panel. Refer to Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  5. Remove the quarter upper trim panel. Refer to Rear Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  6. Remove the center pillar outer applique. Refer to Center Pillar Applique Replacement in Exterior Trim.
  7. Remove the roof drip molding. Refer to Body Side Roof Drip Molding Replacement in Exterior Trim.

    8. Object Number: 1363929 Size: SH

    Important: It is necessary to use new nuts when reinstalling the quarter window.

  8. Remove the nine quarter window nuts (1), securing the quarter window assembly (2) to the body opening.

    9. Caution: When working with any type of glass or sheet metal with exposed or rough edges, wear approved safety glasses and gloves in order to reduce the chance of personal injury.

    Important: When removing the quarter window from the body opening make sure that the attaching pins are clear of the outer body.

  9. Remove the quarter window (2) from the body opening.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1363929 Size: SH
  1. Install the quarter window (2) to the body opening.
  2. Install nine new quarter window nuts (1) to the quarter window (2).

    3. Important: Leave the nuts loose until the roof drip molding is installed.

  3. Install the roof drip molding. Refer to Body Side Roof Drip Molding Replacement in Exterior Trim.

    4. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  4. Position the quarter window assembly (2) with the quarter nuts (1) installed.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the nine new quarter window nuts to 2 N·m (17 lb in).

  5. Install the center pillar outer applique. Refer to Center Pillar Applique Replacement in Exterior Trim.
  6. Install the quarter upper trim panel. Refer to Rear Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  7. Install the center pillar upper trim panel. Refer to Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  8. Install the lower quarter panel trim. Refer to Rear Quarter Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  9. Install side sill trim plate. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement in Interior Trim.
  10. Install the door opening weatherstrip. Refer to Door Opening Weatherstrip Replacement in Doors.
