BCM Scan Tool Data Definitions

The BCM Scan Tool Data Definitions contains a brief description of all Lighting System related BCM parameters available on the scan tool.

Inputs

Ambient Light Sensor: The scan tool displays inactive or active. When the ambient light sensor detects day light conditions, the scan tool will display inactive. When the ambient light sensor detects low light conditions, the scan tool will display active.

Backlight Dimming: The scan tool displays a percentage of the dimmer illumination. The input of the dimmer is displayed as a percentage when the I/P lamps are on.

Dimmed Illumination: The scan tool displays a percentage of the dimmer illumination. The input of the dimmer is displayed as a percentage when the I/P lamps are on.

Domelamp Switch: The scan tool displays Door/Off/On. The input of the domelamp switch is displayed as On when the domelamp switch is On.

Headlamps: The scan tool displays Off/On. The input of the headlamp switch is displayed as On when the headlamps are turned on.

Instrument Panel Dimmer Switch: The scan tool displays Down/Normal/Up. The input of the dimmer switch is displayed as Down/Normal/Up depending the direction of the dimmer switch is pressed.

Instrument Panel Illumination: The scan tool displays Down/Normal/Up. The input of the dimmer switch is displayed as Down/Normal/Up depending the direction of the dimmer switch is pressed.

Park Lamp Switch: The scan tool displays On/Off. The input of the park lamp switch is displayed as On when the park lamps are command On.

Outputs

Interior Lamp Output: The scan tool displays On/Off. This output of the BCM is displayed as On when the interior lamp is turned on.
