Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1263975 Size: SH
  1. Open the rear compartment lid.
  2. From inside the rear compartment, disengage the 2 retaining tabs (1) from the rear window panel assembly.
  3. From inside the vehicle, grasp the edge of the high mount stop lamp assembly (3) and pull the assembly up and away from the rear windscreen until the locating tabs (2) are free of the slots.
  4. Disconnect the high mounted stop lamp electrical connector (4).
  5. Remove the high mount stop lamp assembly from the vehicle.

  6. Unclip the harness connector (1) from the lamp assembly (3).
  7. Starting at one end of the light emitting diode (LED) assembly (2), carefully disengage the retaining tabs with a small flat-bladed tool.

    8. Object Number: 1263979 Size: SH
  8. Carefully spread the lamp assembly (1) by hand and work the LED assembly (2) sideways and rearward until it is free of the lamp assembly (1).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1263979 Size: SH
  1. Position the LED assembly (2) to the lamp assembly (1).

    2. Object Number: 1263976 Size: SH
  2. Carefully push in the LED assembly (2) into the lamp assembly (3) until the retaining tabs are engaged.
  3. Fasten the harness connector (1) to the lamp assembly (3).

    4. Object Number: 1263975 Size: SH
  4. Connect the high mount stop lamp electrical connector (4).
  5. Position the high mount stop lamp assembly (3) to the vehicle and position to the locating tabs (2) to the slots and push down until the retaining tabs (1) are engaged .
  6. Close the rear compartment lid.
