Caution: Do not attempt to repair or alter the head impact energy-absorbing material glued to the headliner or to the garnish trims. If the material is damaged, replace the headliner and/or the garnish trim. Failure to do so could result in personal injury.

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement .
  2. Remove the rear seat back. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement .
  3. Remove the door sill plate. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement .
  4. Remove the rear quarter trim panel. Refer to Rear Quarter Trim Panel Replacement .
  5. Remove the windshield pillar garnish molding. Refer to Windshield Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement .
  6. Remove the rear quarter upper trim panel. Refer to Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement .
  7. Remove the sunshades. Refer to Sunshade Replacement .
  8. Remove the dome lamp. Refer to Dome Lamp Replacement .
  9. Move the front seats to the full back position.

  11. Disconnect the headliner assembly electrical harness from the body harness electrical connector, located below the right hand center pillar.
  12. Disengage 4  hook and loop fasteners (1) attaching the rear edge of the headliner assembly.
  13. Flex the headliner to disengage the corners from the 4  "D" tabs (2) on the sides of the roof panel.
  14. Remove the headliner from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Position the headliner in the vehicle.

  2. Object Number: 1354153  Size: SH
  3. Flex the headliner to engage the corners to the 4  "D" tabs (2) on the sides of the roof panel.
  4. Engage 4 hook and loop fasteners (1) attaching the rear edge of the headliner assembly.
  5. Connect the headliner assembly electrical harness to the body harness electrical connector, located below the right hand center pillar.
  6. Adjust seats as necessary.
  7. Install the dome lamp. Refer to Dome Lamp Replacement .
  8. Install the sunshades. Refer to Sunshade Replacement .
  9. Install the rear quarter upper trim panel. Refer to Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement .
  10. Install the windshield pillar garnish molding. Refer to Windshield Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement .
  11. Install the rear quarter trim panel. Refer to Rear Quarter Trim Panel Replacement .
  12. Install the door sill plate. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement .
  13. Install the rear seat back. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement .
  14. Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement .
