Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the inside door handle assembly. Refer to Door Inside Handle Replacement .
  2. Remove the front door trim panel. Refer to Door Trim Panel Replacement .

    3. Object Number: 1339352 Size: SH
  3. Remove the 3 door brackets (1) from the inner panel (3) by levering out the center pin of the bracket.

    4. Important: The door water deflector only needs to be partly removed to allow access to complete this procedure.

  4. Carefully, peel back the door water deflector (2) from the door inner panel (3).

  5. For the driver's door only, disconnect the door lock cylinder rod (6) from the door lock assembly (7) by releasing the lock cylinder retainer (1).
  6. For the driver's door only, disconnect the door wiring harness from the door lock micro-switch wiring harness connector (5).
  7. Remove the 2 handle retaining nuts (4) and remove the outside door handle assembly (2) from the door outside handle bracket assembly (3).
  8. Remove the door outside handle bracket assembly (3) from the door, if necessary.

Installation Procedure
  1. Position the door outside handle bracket to the inner door, if removed.

  2. Install the outside handle to the door.
  3. Ensure the adjusting nut (2) is seated in the lock and actuator assembly (3) before installing the outside handle retaining nuts (1).

    4. Object Number: 1341031 Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the 2 handle retaining nuts (4) to the outside door handle (2).

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the front door outside door handle nuts to 4 N·m (35 lb in).

  5. If working on the driver's door, connect the door wiring harness to the door lock micro-switch wiring harness connector (5).

  6. Check and if necessary, adjust the handle assembly adjusting nut (2) to allow latch disengagement with the striker when the outside door handle opening is between 13 degrees and 23 degrees from the rest position.

    7. Object Number: 1339352 Size: SH
  7. Reposition and install the water deflector (2) to the door inner panel (3).
  8. Install the 3 door brackets (1) to the inner door panel (3).
  9. Install the door trim panel. Refer to Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  10. Install the door inside handle assembly. Refer to Door Inside Handle Replacement .
