In order to equalize tire wear, rotate the tires at the specified intervals. Refer to Maintenance Schedule in Maintenance and Lubrication. In addition to scheduled rotation, rotate the tires whenever you notice uneven tire wear.
Radial tires tend to wear faster in the shoulder area, particularly in front positions. Radial tires in non-drive locations may develop an irregular wear pattern that can generate tire noise. This makes regular tire rotation especially necessary.
Verify the text on the tire sidewall indicates the correct side facing outwards.
Verify the directional arrow on the tire sidewall indicates the direction of forward rotation of the tire.
