Schematic Reference: Retained Accessory Power (RAP) Schematics

Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle?

Go to Step 2

Go to Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle

1. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
2. Disconnect the RAP relay.
3. Open the driver door.
4. Inspect the power windows and radio for correct operation.

Do the radio and the power windows operate?

Go to Step 3

Go to Step 4

Repair the short to battery in the power windows and radio feed circuit. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you complete the repair?

Go to Step 7

Using a test lamp connected to a good ground, probe the RAP relay control circuit.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 5

Replace the RAP relay.

Did you complete the replacement?

Go to Step 7

Replace the body control module. Refer to

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.

Did you correct the condition?

System OK
