Preliminary Procedures

  1. Remove the compartment lid. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Replacement .
  2. Remove the rear compartment hydraulic cylinder. Refer to Roof Retractable Panel Stowage Compartment Lid Cylinder Replacement - Upper .
  3. Remove rear compartment strut. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Strut Replacement .

Rear Compartment Lid Hinge Bolts (Qty: 3)

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

Tighten
10 N·m (89 lb in)

Rear Compartment Lid Hinge

Rear Compartment Lid Hinge Replacement Coupe/Sedan

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the rear compartment deck lid strut. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Strut Replacement .

    2. Object Number: 1465757 Size: SH
  2. With the aid of an assistant, remove the compartment lid hinge nuts.

    3. It is not necessary to remove the lid if replacing only one hinge.

  3. Remove the hinge to quarter panel bolts.
  4. Remove compartment lid nuts to hinge.
  5. Remove the compartment lid hinge.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1465757 Size: SH
  1. With the aid of an assistant, install the compartment lid nuts to hinge.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  2. Install the hinge to quarter panel bolts and nuts.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  3. Install the rear compartment deck lid strut. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Strut Replacement .
  4. Adjust the compartment lid. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Adjustment .
