Preliminary Procedures

  1. Place the folding top in the service position. Refer to Folding Top Retainer Strap Installation Position .
  2. Remove the front section of the headliner. Refer to Roof Retractable Front Headlining Trim Panel Replacement .

Folding Top Rear Latch Bolt (Qty: 2)

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

Tip
Move the latch up toward the top of the vehicle approximately 2 mm (0.079 in) and re-torque to 10 N·m (89 lb in)

Tighten
10 N·m (89 lb in)

Folding Top Rear Latch

Tip

    • With the headliner still removed, cycle the top 1-2 times and listen for any noises. If a popping sound is heard from either latch during top movement, adjust the latch back down 1 mm (0.039 in) at a time until the popping noise is gone.
    • After adjustments, drive the vehicle to verify the adjustment is resolved.
    • Fully close the folding top after repairs.
