Preliminary Procedures

1. Remove the rear folding top window. Refer to Folding Top Rear Window Replacement .
2. Remove the rear section of the headlinder. Refer to Roof Retractable Rear Headlining Trim Panel Replacement .
3. Place the folding top in the service position. Refer to Folding Top Retainer Strap Installation Position .

Rear Folding Top Panel Lower Weatherstrip

Refer to Folding Top Rear Panel Lower Weatherstrip Replacement .

Tip
Disconnect the rear defogger wires.

Rear Folding Top Panel Upper Weatherstrip

Refer to Folding Top Rear Panel Upper Weatherstrip Replacement .

Rear Folding Top Locator Pin (Qty: 6)

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

Tip
Mark the location of the guide with a grease pencil before removing. Place the guide shim under the guide before tightening the bolts.

Tighten
10 N·m (89 lb in)

Tighten
10 N·m (89 lb in)

Roof Rear Panel

Tip

1. Detach the hydraulic hoses as necessary.
2. An assistant will be needed to remove the rear roof panel from the vehicle.
3. New retainers may be needed for the headliner.
