SUBJECT: FRONT DOOR GLASS RETAINER ASSEMBLIES (COMMONLY CALLED "DOOR GLASS PATCH")

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1991 "F" CAR

1991 "F" style vehicles built after the following VIN breakpoints will use a new type front door glass retainer assembly.

Chevrolet NL104152 Pontiac NL202399

The new part combines the vertical weatherstrip and plastic panel (used on earlier styles) into a single component.

If service of these parts is required, it is recommended that the part be replaced with the type part it was built with.

Example

Past models prior to 1992 VIN breakpoints, use the early type multi piece retainer.

Models built after VIN breakpoints, use new components.
