---------- Some 1992 "H" models with sunroof option (CF5) may have wind buffeting in the vehicle with the sunroof in the open position.
------ This condition may be caused by a wind deflector with insufficient vertical angle to prevent deflector vibration.
1. Push out pin #106 toward the centre of the vehicle. See Figure 1.
2. Raise deflector bracket #103 and remove spring #105.
3. Trim 1mm off the front rail #49 at the deflector bracket contact surface. See close-up in Figure 1. This will allow the deflector to reach a steeper angle, raising the deflector 3mm in the centre.
4. Reinstall spring #105.
5. While holding the spring in place, position the deflector bracket #103 over the spring.
6. Reinstall pin #106 which is a press fit. The pin must go through spring #105 for proper function.
General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
