TEMPERATURE CONTROL CABLE ADJUSTMENT

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1989 C AND H CARS

In the event of customer comments on heating and/or cooling not meeting their expectations are encountered on the above styles equipped with C60 air conditioning, the following procedure should be used to correct the condition:

1. Lower glove compartment to gain access to the control cable turnbuckle.

2. With control at full cold position, adjust turnbuckle until temperature door just comes to a stop on the left.

3. Move control to full hot position and feel if door is held against right side.

4. If not, adjust turnbuckle until door just stops against right side.

5. Recheck cold side to assure door is tight against stop on left. If not, repeat Steps 1 thru 4.
