Some 1990 Toronado and Trofeo models may have a loose quarter window reveal molding on one or both sides of the car.
To repair this condition, first remove the loose molding from the quarter window by pulling it off by hand. There are either eight or nine studs holding it on. Clean both the underside of the molding and the molding mounting surface on the quarter window with a clean, alcohol-dampened cloth and allow to air dry. Apply black urethane primer (from urethane kit P/N 9636067 which is currently available from GMSPO, or equivalent) to both surfaces and allow to dry for five minutes. Apply enough urethane to fill the cavity on the back side of the molding. Reinstall the molding, studs and all, and tape in place. Clean excess urethane off immediately with a wax and grease removing solvent. Allow urethane to cure for four hours at room temperature before removing tape.

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
