This bulletin supersedes all other published information on the procedures to reset the oil life index.

The following list provides information on which buttons to press to reset the oil life index.

Vehicles without Visual Information Center

1989 Toronados:

1. Press ENG DATA until oil life index is displayed.

2. Press ENG DATA and GAGE simultaneously until oil life index resets to 100 (hold about five seconds).

1990 Toronados:

1. Press ENG DATA until oil life index is displayed.

2. Press RESET/ENTER until oil life index resets to l00 (hold about five seconds).

1991-1992 Toronados:

1. Press OPTIONS until oil life index is displayed.

2. Press RESET/ENTER until oil life index resets to l00 (hold about five seconds).

Vehicles With Visual Information Center

1989-1992 Toronados:

1. Press INFO hard key then OIL LIFE soft key to display oil life index.

2. Press RESET soft key until oil life index resets to l00.
