Some 1990 Oldsmobile Toronados may experience a condition where the fuel door release escutcheon may be loose at the attachments and not aligned properly. To repair this condition use the following procedure:
Using P/N 11505850 or equivalent, a self tapping large washer head cross-recessed screw, drill through the escutcheon one inch ahead of the original screw into the body bar. (See illustration) IMPORTANT: If not using part number 11505850 use two matching black finished sheet metal screws (M 4.2 x 1.41 x 25 mm long)
