Removal Procedure
Notice: Allow sufficient clearance around the transaxle oil cooler
pipes and around the hoses to prevent damage or wear which may cause fluid
loss.
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to
Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
in General Information.
- Position the drain pan.
- Remove the transaxle oil cooler hoses from the transaxle oil cooler
fittings. Refer to

.
- Remove the transaxle oil
cooler fittings (28 ,29) from the transaxle.
Installation Procedure
- Apply sealant GM P/N 12345382 or equivalent to transaxle oil cooler
fittings.
Important: The correct thread engagement is critical. The cross-threaded fittings
can achieve proper tightness and still leak.
- Install the transaxle oil cooler fittings (28 ,29) to the transaxle.
Tighten
Tighten the transaxle oil cooler fittings to 38 N·m (28 lb ft).
- Install the transaxle oil cooler hoses to the transaxle oil cooler
fittings. Refer to

.
- Lower the vehicle.
Notice: Do NOT overfill the transaxle. The overfilling of the transaxle
causes foaming, loss of fluid, shift complaints, and possible damage to the
transaxle.
- Adjust the fluid level. Refer to the
following information.
- Inspect for proper completion of the repairs.
- Inspect for fluid leaks.
